Newburn company and workforce recognised in national industry awards
Following last year’s nomination for SafeHire Company of the Year, Newburn Power are finalists in three categories for 2019: recognising both company and individual achievement across the plant, tool, equipment and event hire industry.
In addition to a second nomination for SafeHire Company of the Year, Newburn employees Mark Dearnaley and Kieran Brown are finalists for Workshop Manager of the Year and Hire Manager of the Year, respectively. These awards recognise outstanding individuals who have consistently stood out from the crowd and who have achieved the highest standards in the industry. The SafeHire Company of the Year Award will go to the company which has best demonstrated compliance to the SafeHire Standard: improving the health, safety and wellbeing of its workforce and of equipment users.
Commenting on the nominations, Newburn Power’s managing director Mark Henstock said,
“I’m delighted that Newburn have been recognised, again, as a company that excels – particularly given the stringent criteria set by the SafeHire assessors. To have two of our team acknowledged in the individual categories is testament to their skill and their commitment to our own standards and we look forward to acknowledging and celebrating their hard work at the awards ceremony.”
Hire Association Europe (HAE) is the industry-leading trade association for the plant and tool hire sector. HAE members such as Newburn Power Rental regularly take part in technical panels to review and develop new practices that impact on the sector, helping to keep them at the forefront of the plant and equipment industry.
Hosted by Strictly Come Dancing star and TV presenter Anton Du Beke, the Hire Awards of Excellence 2019 will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on Saturday 13th April.
